@BreeRyan those are free drawn pencil marks. before finalizing an image with pen or marker, a good architect must first pre-draw an idea then finalize it with pen/marker.

I don’t know what people mean if they say this guy is cheating!!!! yes you can see the line but the lines remain until he finishes which means (1) the lines are for something else….. (2) lines are for a plan made in pencil first :)

  9. randomanecan

    03. Jul, 2010

to everyone saying hes cheating, he is not, he is inking a pencil draft, you guys dont see how thin and light those lines are, this was all done in pencil before he inked it, and thats why you see it.

The school is in north central Vermont. Specifically it is on the border between Warren and Waitsfield in the Mad River Valley. There are directions on the Yestermorrow website. come visit or take a class!

Yestermorrow founder, John Connell, has authored several books: Creating the Inspired House and Homing Instinct. Both are great introductions to Design/Build.

I agree this is a great school and well worth the investment of time and money to go there. And the Mad River Valley is a wonderful setting. Makes it easy and fun to learn.

This is a refreshingly clear presentation of this unique school in VT, free from marketing and promotional content that can make such videos so tiresome. Great footage of the Green Mountains!
Just watching this will make you feel like you are going to design your own place.
